Amazon knows packages. But in-home deliveries were a whole new experience that freaked people out – and rightfully so. Letting a stranger open your front door while you were out or pop the trunk of your parked car wasn’t something that had ever been done before.

Since Key is all about building trust, we had some fun with real delivery drivers and showed an in-home delivery from start to finish.

Integrations & Activations

We targeted owners of smart devices like Ring Video Doorbell, myQ Smart Garage Opener, and Schlage Encode Smart Lock which could all easily integrate with Key. We connected with internal Amazon teams like Amazon Pharmacy (well, Pillpack at the time) to find cross-functional opportunities. And we launched a pilot program in key markets to drive adoption and test user behavior.
